Our mission, who we are, and what we do.
Healthy Foods for Healthy Kids (HFHK) is a Delaware nonprofit dedicated to help children grow, taste, and enjoy fresh vegetables through hands‑on school garden education. For more than 20 years, we have partnered with schools to bring learning to life—connecting science, nutrition, and real‑world skills in joyful garden spaces. What began as a small grassroots effort is now a statewide movement empowering students, supporting educators, and strengthening communities.

Our mission is to inspire healthier lives by providing youth with joyful school gardening experiences and opportunities to eat the garden-fresh vegetables they have grown.
Our vision is a vegetable garden in every school, leading to generations of healthy families throughout Delaware.
